Karen Mulkijanyan is the Head of the Department of Pharmacology at Tbilisi State Medical University Institute of Pharmacochemistry and Adviser on Technology Commercialization to aforesaid Institute’s Administration. He obtained his MS in Biochemistry in 1981 and PhD in Pharmacy in 2005. Dr. Mulkijanyan’s research interests include studying the pharmacology of anti-inflammatory and wound healing drugs and analysis and prediction of structure-activity relationship of natural, modified and synthesized compounds. He is the author and co-author of more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals, about 30 presentations at international scientific meetings, and 2 patents.

Joseph L Borowitz is Professor Emeritus of Pharmacology in Pudue University. He had done his B.S. from Ohio State University, M.S. from Purdue University and PhD from Northwestern University. His research focuses on Neurotoxicology. Had had published many representative articles in reputed journals.

Neurotoxicology

Kjell Fuxe has worked at the Karolinska Institutet since 1960, became prosektor in 1968 and professor in 1979. Since 2005 Fuxe is a professor emeritus at the Department of Neuroscience. He published over 1589 papers.He is a member Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences and foreign member of the Mexican Academy of Sciences and was a member of the Nobel Assembly. He is mainly known for his work on central monoamine neurons, volume transmission and its different forms, receptor-receptor interactions in the CNS and neuropsychopharmacology.

George Perry is dean of the College of Sciences and professor of biology at The University of Texas at San Antonio. Perry is recognized in the field of Alzheimer disease research particularly for his work on oxidative metabolismPerry received his bachelors of arts degree in zoology with high honors from University of California Santa Barbara. After graduation, he headed to Scripps Institution of Oceanography and obtained his Ph.D. in marine biology under David Epel in 1979. He then received a postdoctoral fellowship in the Department of Cell Biology in the laboratories of Drs. Bill Brinkley and Joseph Bryan at Baylor College of Medicine where he laid the foundation for his observations of abnormalities in cell structures. In 1982, Perry joined the faculty of Case Western Reserve University, where he currently holds an adjunct appointment.

Perry's research is primarily focused on how Alzheimer disease develops and the physiological consequences of the disease at a cellular level. He is currently working to determine the sequence of events leading to damage caused by and the source of metabolic abnormalities.

Prof. Dr. Mirza R. Baig is currently working as a Head of Clinical Pharmacy department in Dubai Pharmacy College. He did his PhD in Clinical Pharmacy from University Science Malaysia (USM), Malaysia. He worked in Malaysia, India and have international teaching and research experience of about 16 years. He also worked as an Acting Dean in AIMST University, Malaysia. He published 4 books related to Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Care. He published more than 40 Research papers and articles in International Journals. He is in the editorial board in various international journals, including reviewer for couple of Elsevier journals. He supervised numerous master and PhD students for their research projects. He also reviewed several Master and PhD thesis for Indian and foreign universities as an external examiner. He received many awards in his career, few of it as an Outstanding scientist by a research foundation in India 2016, Best Quality Research in 2016 in DUPHAT Dubai, Best oral presentation in Dubai 2015 & 2014, Young scientist award in Malaysia in 2013, Best presentation award in IPC 2003, in India.

His area of research is Pharmacoepidemiology, Drug safety and efficacy, Drug Utilization Studies, Pharamcovigilance, and Public health.

Raafat Abd El-Gawad El-Gharieb EL-Awady currently working as a professor of Pharmacology and Chairman, Department of Pharmacy Practice & Pharmacotherapeutics and Professor of Pharmacology, College of Pharmacy, Sharjah University, UAE. He completed his PhD in Hamburg University in 2000. He publishes more than 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His research interest are Pharmacogenomics and individualized cancer therapy, Regulation of cell cycle checkpoints and DNA repair after cancer chemotherapy, Induction and repair of DNA damage in mammalian cells, Mechanisms of resistance to cancer therapy.

Fawzi holds a first class BSc (Hons) Biology with Environmental Sciences, following which he secured the competitive the postgraduate national scholarship to read for his MPhil/PhD in collaboration between University of Mauritius and TWAS-accredited H.E.J Research Institute of Chemistry and Dr. Panjwani Center for Molecular Medicines and Drug Research, Pakistan. He is a senior academic at the University of Mauritius, and has been nominated as the TWAS-ROSSA young Affiliate (2012-2016), member of the Global Young Academy (2013-2016), recipient of the young promising scientist to attend the TWAS/BVA.NXT Biovision 2012 Egypt and the ASM Young Leadership Award to ASM in Boston, USA. He was selected among the top 25 young scientists to attend ‘Food Future- Young Scientists Networking conference’ in Italy and nominated as Young Ambassador to the American Society for Microbiology. Fawzi has published more than 65 papers in ISSN/impact factor journals and also edited 14 book chapters and 4 academic books. He has also secured more than 22 fellowships/travel grants to attend international seminars, teaching tool workshops/conferences in USA, France, Belgium, Thaland, Malaysia, China, Pakistan, Uganda, Kenya and others. He is the PI and co-PI of 5 research grants/consortium regionally and internationally. He has organized/instructed several international/national workshops/training courses.

Chemistry

Dr. Xu is a Full Professor in Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC), Zhuhai Scholar Distinguished Professor, Associate Director of UIC Key Lab -Laboratory for Health Promotion Mechanism of Medicinal Food and Folk Remedy, author of 117 peer-reviewed papers. Dr. Xu received Ph.D in Chungnam National University, South Korea. He conducted postdoctoral research work in North Dakota State University, Purdue University, and Gerald P. Murphy Cancer Foundation during 2005-2009. Dr. Xu is serving as Associate Editor-in-Chief of Food Science and Human Wellness, an Editorial Board member of several international journals. He received inaugural President’s Award for Research of UIC in 2016.

The overall goal of his research is to understand health promoting effects of phytochemicals. Specific interests include: 1) Complex relationship among diet, gut microbiota, and human health, 2) health benefits (targeted at aging, cancers, obesity, and diabetes) assessment of phyto-chemicals from natural products; 3) cellular and molecular mechanisms of bioactive components in disease prevention

Currently working as a Associate Professor of Organic Chemistry, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Ain Shams University. My main field of current research is the synthesis and reactions of heterocyclic compounds (containing nitrogen, sulfur and oxygen atoms) such as 3, 1-Benzoxazin-4-ones, Quinazolin-4-ones, oxazolones, pyrimidinthiones, coumarins, chromones and Pyrimidinones with significant biological activities as anticonvulsant antihistamic antihyperglycemic activities.
